As we move closer to Christmas and a well-deserved summer break, I would again like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank our amazing community for another wonderful year. We have much to celebrate and be grateful for at St Joseph's.
Without doubt, we have excelled and much of this can be accredited to the positive partnerships we continue to foster between our families and staff. We understand this level of student and community success simply cannot be achieved without these valued and trusting relationships.
Extending beyond the classroom, our students and families are afforded so many rich experiences at St Joseph's, and they continue to embrace and respond accordingly to these opportunities. The students have all too often, outshone the high expectations set by their teachers and this has been affirmed in their impressive report cards for 2019. A true celebration, importantly acknowledging the personal and academic growth of all our students.
Led by our wonderful School Captains the weekly assemblies continue to reflect the tone of our school, showcasing the diversity of the learning, in and out of the classrooms. Often difficult to capture the atmosphere and energy of these community gatherings in the newsletter, most weeks we exceed 100 parents who proudly watch as the children celebrate their learning and daily experiences.
Last, but certainly not least, our remarkable students, the heart and life of St Joseph's - this is your school and it’s ultimate successes and achievements are, and will always be, attributed to thank you for making St Joseph’s what it is today, a thriving and highly sought after primary school for our families. I remain the proudest principal and thank you all for providing our staff with your energy, love of life and inspiration each day.
May you all enjoy the blessings of this Christmas Season and have a restful and safe break in readiness for what is already shaping to be another wonderful year of fun, engagement, growth, adventure and discovery in 2020.
