Athletics Day

Complemented by near perfect weather conditions, we simply couldn't have anticipated a better outcome for our annual athletics day last Friday. In particular, we congratulate and thank Mrs Howell and her team of Year 6 leaders for organising another spectacular and fun day for our students and families.

Perhaps worth noting, despite our amazing team of teachers all coming off the back of parent/teacher interviews in the two days prior to the carnival; they simply didn't waver in their enthusiasm and interactions with the students.  Staff participation remains a noted and positive feature of our wonderful school community, and once again our team stepped up.  Whether it was participating in the long-jump or running in the 200m races. We are just so blessed to have this level of involvement from our staff.

Not surprisingly, we received lots of positive feedback in moving the carnival to a Friday. Whilst some parents were only able to drop in briefly, we had many stay for the entire carnival - this was clearly appreciated by all.

Commented upon by all on the day, was the involvement of the ex-St Joseph's, and now DeLaSalle students (Steve, Jon, Harry, Matteo and Orlando). They are a credit to their school and families, and we thank them for their unwavering support and exemplary manner on the day.
