A message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Families,

I would like to extend to you a warm welcome to our school website. The purpose of this website is to inform you of some aspects of school life here at St. Joseph’s. You can also download our information book from this website that will assist in answering any questions you have.

In St. Joseph’s community we develop quality relationships, built on respect, inclusiveness and a strong sense of welcome. We pride ourselves in knowing each child and family.

We are about developing the whole child. Our outstanding academic results are achieved in working together collaboratively. At St. Joseph's, our goal in partnership with our parents is to provide a comprehensive education within a safe, happy and rich learning environment.

Learning and teaching involves more than providing academic instruction. It is about nurturing the individual – academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically – equipping students with lifelong skills to become compassionate and contributing citizens. We strive to help students develop an understanding of the world, their community and their role in it.

At St. Joseph’s we value our greatest resource, the teaching and support staff. They are models of life long learners.

Parents in our community are requested:
  • To support the goals of our Catholic school, its beliefs, values and religious practices.
  • To ensure to the best of their ability that their child observes the rules and regulations established by the school for the wellbeing and safety of all. (Respect for Self, Respect for Others and Respect for the Environment).
  • To demonstrate their commitment to working in partnership with all staff members for the development of their child, emotionally, spiritually and academically.

We welcome and encourage you to contact the school to make an appointment to come and see our beautiful school.

Yours sincerely,
Simon Collis
